1.        The Developer should demolish the building existing in the plot and construct new multi storied buildings taking into account the earthquake resistant factors as directed by The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The new building should have stilt for Car Parking and should consist of number of stories as per approved plans. The final plans are to be prepared after due consultation with the Managing Committee and understanding their requirements says Adv. R. P. Bombay High Court says “Don’t repair unauthorized structures”






A division bench of Justice Sharad Bobde and Justice Ramesh D. Dhanuka was hearing a petition filed by Shobha V. Koli who resides in Building No. 9, stating that the building had collapsed in 2010 and the landlord had managed to get work orders from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for its Repairs. The dilapidated structure is situated at 5th Cross Lane, Falkland Road.

BMC is approaching large Societies and Complexes to allow them to set up polling booths within their compounds for the February 16 Civic Elections. The BMC states that so far 22 housing complexes have agreed, to set up polling booths within their compounds. After hearing this news more such societies and complexes have appreciated and welcomed this move & the BMC hopes that more such Buildings & complexes will offer Space by the Weekend.
